The California Business Furnishings, family of companies all owned by Robyn and Doug Davidian of Fresno, California; Nevada Business Furnishings, Contract Interiors and Desks Chairs and More and Southwest Business Furnishings have been renamed Contract Interiors. The calculated decision aligns all five companies under one moniker which better defines the evolution of the business and current focus; contract business interior solutions.

Contract Interiors was started in Fresno in 1984 by Robyn and Doug to serve the school system which had no reliable source for education furniture. Since then, they have increased product lines, expanded offerings to support nine vertical markets including healthcare and government, and become a Preferred Haworth Dealership. They have also expanded their services to include an incomparable Interior Design staff, certified installation team and 24,000 sq. feet of warehousing for ongoing projects.

In 1999 as California Business Furnishings, CI was selected as one of Inc Magazine’s top 100 fastest growing businesses and both Doug and Robyn have received numerous accolades as business owners over the past 23-years.

In addition to the name change Contract Interiors has realigned their team to best support the growth strategy. Chryssoula Paas and Kathy Schmidt have been added as independent contractors for the Nevada, and Phoenix markets, Martin Panoussi has hired to the sales position previously held by Jim Eckes in the Las Vegas market.

Contract Interiors has also made some other significant personnel revisions; Eric Sandberg will be managing the Fresno sales team, Anne Benge, and Doug Davidian will direct sales in San Diego and Dean Gould will oversee Operations for all markets. Katie Roberts of the Las Vegas office has been promoted to sales for the Nevada education division and Trish Engman has been promoted to Trainer and Director IT, plus Kyla Mooney, of San Diego has been promoted to Director Designers.

It is anticipated that these additions and changes will positively support the current business objectives and advance the company’s growth strategy.
